Bay View Fair 2004

Our club did it's usual thing at the Bay View Fair this year (28 November 2004) to raise funds for charitable purposes.
Friday proved to be very cold and windy with a very unseasonable southerly blowing through, and we all a bit apprehensive about just what conditions we would have the next day. But all was well, the weather man proved to be right for once, with a lovely sunny day and only a light breeze. This brought a good crowd out to the annual event.
So we were all set up and ready to go by about 9am, with Terry O'Connor spinning the wheel and inveigling people to come and buy - "anything on the trailer for only one lousy buck".
I was asked by one lady if that included the man spinning the wheel, my reply was something along the lines that "we couldn't even give him away".
But it was in all good fun, with a great response from the public. We sold all our raffles by just after eleven, packed up and gone by 11:30, a nice easy day to earn over $400 for the coffers.
Thanks to all concerned for helping on the day, especially Terry, but also Ellie who was our official Land Rover driver, and Colin English for master minding the event.
Here are some pictures taken of the event.
